Dear friends,

The Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Narainpur, a Branch Centre of the Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, Howrah, West Bengal along with its five (5) Service Centres inside Abujhmarh jungles has been rendering welfare services since its inception in 1985 for the ‘Hill Marias’, one of the poorest and most primitive Tribes in India, residing in ‘Abujhmarh’ of Chhattisgarh to eradicate illiteracy, ill health and poverty. We have the great pleasure to inform you that this Institution has just completed 25 years of its very important and successful journey of serving our fellow brethren in these most remote and neglected areas and we are celebrating the Silver Jubilee year from 2nd August 2010 to 2nd August 2011.

In last 31st October, 2010 The Prestigious Indira Gandhi Award for National Integration for 2009 was conferred upon this Institution. We gladly share our humble achievements with you all.

All our activities are mainly dependent upon Government Grants. Though both Central and State Governments are generously helping us, the enormity of our service activities in this far corner of central India demands more financial help from the generous people to mitigate the expenditure incurred for such Programmes.

We, therefore, fervently appeal to you to kindly donate us liberally for running the activities quoted above. Your generous contribution will be of help for years together and be assured that each Rupee will be spent for the desired purpose.

We again fervently and specially appeal to those who have no legal heir, may kindly think to GIFT their properties/assets for the welfare of the neglected children of Abujhmarh, indeed a noble cause.

Cheques and Demand Drafts may kindly be issued in favour of “Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Narainpur”.

May the blessings of the Almighty be showered upon all of us so that we may bring peace and solace to our tribal brethren by our humble services.

With deep regards,

(Swami Vyaptananda)

Secretary

"I consider that the great national sin is the neglect of masses, and that is one of the causes of our down-fall. No amount of politics would be of any avail, until the masses in India area once more well educated, well fed, and well cared for. They pay for our education, they build our temples, but in return, they get kicks. They are practically our slaves. If we want to regenerate India, we must work for them."

Swami Vivekananda
