Anand Mela (1st April to 28th April 2015) :-

The annual function popularly known as 'Ananda Mela' is organized for all the students of our Abujhmarh (interior centers) & Narainpur Schools to encourage, enrich, sustain and develop their local culture and traditions. In the month-long Mela the students exhibit their skills and hidden talents in Sports, local folk dance, drama, folk songs and patriotic songs centered mostly on cultural and spiritual themes.

This year the function started on 1st April 2015, In its first phase children were sent to educational tour from 1st to 3rd April 2015, Sports competitions were organized from 03rd April to 06th April 2015 in which students enthusiastically took part in Kho-Kho, gymnastics, football, athletics and volleyball competitions. In the next phase of the Mela various cultural programmes were organized from 07th to 25th April 2015 and prizes were distributed on the basis of competitions. In the last phase of month long Mela a religious assembly was organized on 27th April 2015 and a religious procession was also brought out. Swami Gautamanandaji, a senior trustee of Ramakrishna Math and Mission Belur Math inaugurated cultural programme and distributed prizes. 

 

Sail Khel Mela 2014 (18th April to 23rd April 2015) :-

The In continuation with last 9 years this year also a 6 days long sports meet namely "Sail Khel Mela 2015" was successfully organized jointly by Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Narainpur and Bhilai Steel Plant, Bhilai. The aim of Mela was to evoke spirit of sports among tribal boys and girls and to induce them into main stream of nation. Total 1500 students including 1000 boys and 500 girls of 31 different schools participated in the meet. Ms Lata Usendi, honorable minister of Chhattisgarh presided over the inaugural ceremony and Sri Balramji Das Tondon, honorable governor of Chhattisgarh presided over the closing ceremony.
